We send back an upfront quote. If it works for you, we book a time that fits your schedule.
On the day, our crew carries everything out and loads the trailer. For big projects, we can arrange a dumpster instead.
We then recycle and donate what we can. Only true trash goes to disposal.
Timing matters when a listing date is set. We are often available same-day or next-day, even for full cleanouts.
Montgomery County Bulk Pickup and Transfer Station Rules
Montgomery County offers bulk pickup, but only for homes with county trash collection. Many HOA and townhome communities use private haulers instead, so they do not qualify.
Eligible homes get five bulk collections per calendar year. Requests are due by 11:59 PM the day before your regular pickup day.
For drop-off, the main site is the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station. The residential entrance is on Frederick Road in Derwood. Fees depend on the material, and the site does not accept cash or checks.
Residents can also bring smaller bulk loads to the Poolesville Beauty Spot on Saturdays. That site only takes loads under 500 pounds. Either way, you still load, drive, and unload it yourself. We do all three.
